daily skin moisturizing tip

Living in the dry climate of West Texas definitely doesn’t do our skin any favors. One of the top questions I’m asked by patients on a regular basis is, “What’s the best way to keep my skin moisturized?” In this blog post, I share a quick tip on my go-to daily skin moisturizing advice I like to give to my patients.

Daily Skin Moisturizing Tip

My go-to advice I like to tell patients to keep their skin moisturized is actually pretty simple — I recommend keeping a bottle of body oil, such as Neutrogena Body Oil, in your shower. After you finish showering, turn your shower off, and while your skin is still wet, apply the body oil on your skin. Afterward, you can get out of the shower, and then you should pat dry with a towel. It’s important to not rub and scrub your skin.

After you’re dry, I recommend applying a good moisturizing cream. I really like the CeraVe or Cetaphil moisturizing creams, and my go-to is the CeraVe moisturizing cream that comes in a big tub.

This daily moisturizing tip really locks in the moisture and patients always really love this recommendation!
